Never thought I would become interested in zombie movies, tv shows and books but here i am.
If you are a zombie fan, I highly recomened this series.
I think this was so far the best of the 3. Looking froward to reading book 4. But taking a break from the anxiousness I get from these types of books.
Also I like the changes of the of the zombies. This is how The Walking Dead should have had their Walkers (zombies) become over time like these in the book.

Really great "zombie" read. David Moody has the ability to describe the most terrifying scenes ever. With each of his Autumn books I had been terrifyed to go outside because the undead could be walking. It was a well written terrifyingly good book. Not only did he describe the dead decaying flesh amazingly but he also describe the desolate of the people living in that world. Very realistic for a zombie book.

This one is the fastest paced Autumn book through out the whole story. Which is amazing.

It's a must read for any Zombie enthusiastic.

I am so happy they got an island istead of bugging in some big building.

Another good read. This is book 3 of 6 in the series. This book picks right up where #2 finished. Same situation and same characters continued on. This book has more gore and zombie interactions then the first two. You also get a better feel for many of the characters as we spend more time getting to know everyone. I did find that this book started to steer in a direction of something big and sinister happening but it didn't really develop as such. The zombies continue to change but I was waiting for some big changes that would lead to huge impacts on the survivors, but that never seemed to materialize.

'Now, several days since any of the soldiers had been above ground, almost one hundred thousand bodies had gathered around the bunker, every last one of them fighting to get nearer to its impassable entrance.'

I only finished the second book in David Moody's Autumn series yesterday, and I was so excited by the ending that I just had to dive straight into this one which - as you can tell by this review - I've already managed to finish.
When we left our survivors they'd just managed to gain entry into the military bunker where Cooper had been sheltering from the day the virus struck. Being in a safe and secure environment for the first time in two months, I'd expected our survivors might have gotten complacent, but the exact opposite happened: if anything, being with the military ratcheted their anxiety through the roof as they wondered what they'd enlist them to do.
Because of the noise from the soldiers coming and going, hundreds upon thousands of corpses gathered outside the bunker, covering the grates in the ground that allow air to pass through the filtration system. The soldiers know that oxygen is running out, so they plot to go above ground and park jeeps over the grates to allow the air free passage. Their first attempt goes well and they manage to unblock two grates and kill a handful of cadavers, but when they go for round two and try to clear more grates, their entire operation falls apart.
This means it takes less than fifty pages for our survivors to find themselves fleeing from the military bunker, once more displaced in the countryside.
