Hated the end. The author did Suwa so dirty. You can tell the only character that the author cares about are Kakeru and Naho. The only other character that gets even semi-fleshed out is Suwa, but we never actually find out what his future holds which was so unfair because he was so giving and selfless all he wanted was for the woman he loved to be happy and his friend to live. Was he rewarded in the end we don't know was it all for not we don't know. The ending really needed an epilogue of 10 years in the future so we could see how it really changed. It's unfair to leave us hanging and to leave the characters hanging.

Also two other reasons why I scored this book so low in stars is because firstly, how toxic Kakeru and Naho really where is a couple these two never should have gotten together and never should stay together. He's even honest with her he lies he runs away he's not the right person for her and he's correct but she doesn't listen she just wants what she wants and listens to her future self because she doesn't respect what he is saying. He also isn't in a place for romantic relationship he's not ready to handle it he is going through some deeply disturbing and dark stuff and he needs mental health care not a romantic partner. Get this guy some therapy.

On that note, the second reason is the treatment of suicide was borderlining on insensitive due to the oversimplification of it. Sometimes no matter what anybody does they cannot stop somebody from committing that act. It is also not someone else's responsibility to save another. Placing that burden on yourself is unfair and will affect your own mental health. This manga took an extremely complicated and serious subject and tried to put it into a romance story without consideration for how it might affect those who are actually touched by suicide. For that reason alone I can't recommend this to others.

ah this manga was so emotional but so heartwarming !! it ended a bit abruptly for me I do wish there was some sort of epilogue, but the ending was just so heart wrenching in many ways. im happy with the story overall and can’t wait to watch the anime to see how it was adapted !
