Well written with a narrative and dialogue that more than made up for some minor pacing problems. It made me laugh a lot and made me cry a few times. I couldn't put it down.

Diana Gabaldon is masterful. The way she weaves genres together, hundreds of hours of historical research, and brings characters’ humanity to life is truly breathtaking. I could not put this book down. Now I eagerly await the release of Go Tell the Bees.
