I will never cease to be disappointed by the fickle phenomenon that occurs when death touches us. It seems to impact us so deeply, but only for a short period of time. Some more deeply or more long lasting than others, of course, but still we seem to lose some of the what death teaches us as we slip back into the monotony of our lives. Hopefully Morrie’s final message to the world has a lasting impact on the lives of readers. Hopefully, I will be able to carry these lessons with me and incorporate them into my life and the way I relate to those around me.

What an amazing book! Albom gets a little overly sappy at times, but, fortunately, it still kinda works. I guess it's hard to write a bad book when your subject--a guy who has all these positive life lessons, despite having a crippling and debilitating disease--is so funny, warm, and engaging.

I can teach this book to my students, but, unfortunately, I don't always get to it. I do think it's a book that most people should read at some point.

The perfect book to read while drinking a cup of hot cocoa with extra marshmallows on a rainy Wednesday holiday!

This book from the author of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" is filled with inspiring nuggets of wisdom from Morrie who, even at the face of death, smiles and refuses to linger on grief. Instead, he is headstrong and confident with whatever his fate might be and, once again, teaches his old student Mitch how to look at the glass as half-full

I did enjoy reading this but I found it became slightly preachy. Sure there were important messages but I didn’t find it overly emotional as the format of the book didn’t really allow for deeper connection and meaning to be taken from the characters storylines.
