Seth is best when you have time to marinate on passages.
Hard to take in the choppy small essays all at once.

Surprisingly motivating. I took this very slow and just read a few little tidbits a day for a few months. It really helped shake me up and motivate me in my creative practices.

While some of the advice is great so someone starting at 0, I felt the book often repeated its self when read for long periods of time. The book felt like I was reading a collection of blog posts at times.

I didn't feel like this book provided any useful insight unfortunately. Just a lot of proverbial chapters that serve only as inspiration that I didnt find particularly inspiring.

As Seth himself would put it, this book is not for me. It's fairly short, but it managed to be incredibly boring in that short time. It was just repeating the same message over and over and I didn't really find anything practical to apply other than "do the thing". It's mostly a motivational book, and I felt like it could have been a blog post, instead of a whole book.

As someone who always thought they were creative but didn't have any artistic talent, this book was a fantastic jolt to just get started. Ship something and it'll get great over time. Or it won't and I'll figure something else out. Loved the format, will make it easy to re-visit and read a point or two at a time
