I picked up this arc randomly because I loved the fact the author mentioned it had halloweentown and Gilmore girls vibes and I love them both. I enjoyed the book however I am not a big fan of friends to lovers it is one of my least favourite tropes. Usually I would say no but this one intrigued me and I am glad I stayed to finish it. I can’t wait for the next book as I feel that one will have the tropes I love.
There are some things that I love about this book, one being there was no third act breakup and it meant the actual story was told. I also love the premise around the town very much like halloweentown where all the paranormal’s live in one spot. I gave this book 4 ⭐️ and 2 🌶️. As I have said, not a fan of friends to lovers but I did like the dynamic between Jamie and Raegan.
If you love a small town paranormal book with Gilmore girls and Halloweentown vibes this is the book for you.

The story, in essence, is a story we know, small town romance between long-time friends, very hallmark movie, but it's a story we love. And then, you add a little bit of spice, a little bit of paranormal, and you've got yourself a monster boyfriend 😉
I liked how the characters felt pretty normal, despite all the paranormal stuff lol. They were charming and interesting and had a reasonable amount of inner turmoil without being deprecating.
The small town vibes were all there, so cozy and mysterious but also funnily mundane. Can you imagine if your apartment neighbor was a vampire, or a ghost? Wild, I love it.
I really enjoyed this book. It was so cute and charming, and I feel like it didn't overstay it's welcome. We got our characters, the atmosphere, and the spice, and Meg wrapped it all up in a nice, concise 250-page package with room for more exploration in other installments.
It was good, simple fun, and I can't wait for her next expected release in Spring 2025

Loved this! Cozy, Spooky Season, Small Town Vibes. It’s filled with all the things us Romantasy girlies love: a bookstore, coffee shops, a small town during Halloween, paranormal characters, monster romance, best friends to lovers, harm her and you die trope, great side characters, and romance novels. Howl is exactly as advertised and I’m not mad about it. It’s adorable & spicy. It’s the first good werewolf romance I’ve read in some time.

They not only have to come to terms with this sudden intense *pull* to each other, but Jamie must face his more primal wolf side.
I liked the vibes. Very chill very cute. The town was giving like Halloween town. But I don't think this book really stuck out to me and I low key lost some interest part way cause it got boring. Not much of a plot I guess. But sweet nonetheless.
