I really enjoyed this! It had a way of making it a thriller and a murder mystery, but also was very funny and deeply emotional. I’m excited to read the others at some point but it wrapped up well!

This book was a very lighthearted fun read. I really enjoyed the concept of a murder mystery in a care home and the characters were very entertaining, so many little quirky traits. I also loved just how British this whole book was. So many references to different shops, places, tv shows etc, it makes it so wholesome and funny because you would only be able to understand these references living in the UK.
I think Osman has done a really good job with this first book. I did find it hard to get into at first, as even though the shorter chapters mean you should be able to read through quickly the story itself seemed slow paced. Additionally there are so many characters it is quite hard at some points to keep track of everyone. I was actually surprised with the plot twist at the end, I thought that it would have been Bernard. I like how we had been introduced to the original murder from the very beginning.
