My favorite so far in the series. Lundy’s backstory is about the transition from childhood to young adulthood. It is both poignant and heartbreaking to read. There is also an overarching criticism of the greed of our current society and it’s exploitative nature
Graphic: Child death, Grief, and Sexism
Moderate: Death, Violence, and Misogyny
Minor: Pregnancy, Bullying, Abortion, and Child abuse

This is my second favorite book in the series so far, following Down Among the Sticks and Bones. I really loved the trio of Lundy, Moon, and the Archivist. I’m also super into how this series alternates between prequel and “present day” timelines - it makes me really appreciate all the characters a lot more than I did in book 1.
Minor: Child abuse
