TEXAS SEAL is probably my favorite of the series so far. There's still action and suspense but a larger portion of the book is focused on Lyla and Trent building their relationship. They were a really enjoyable couple and I liked the way they supported each other. I also liked that they take things a bit slower and don't immediately jump into bed. Trent, like all the other SEALs, is highly protective and alpha but he's got that Texas cowboy charm and Lyla can't resist him. Overall, the story was a bit predictable but still a fun read.

This book had it all, great characters that were well developed and that you wanted to be together and a fabulous story with plenty of action and suspense.

I loved this book for me it the best in the series and I read it in one sitting, cant wait to read the next instalment.

This book although part of a series can be read independently of the others

I really enjoyed this story. I love getting to see the team again and getting to know Trent better. Trent's childhood best friend has gone down a dark path and his younger sister shows up asking for Trent's help. It looks like he had been turning his life around but then disappears and his sister, Lyla is worried about him. Trent has no problem helping Lyla out and they both head back to Texas. As they get to know each other as adults they are dealing with the attraction and feelings that were there as teenagers. They never acted on it because Trent wouldn't cross that line of going after a sibling but things are a little different now. I loved the way that things progressed between Trent and Lyla. Things do happen quickly but I like the fact that Trent takes things a little slower with no pressure on Lyla. They are in the process of figuring things out when things take a turn with the brother. It quickly makes them both realize a couple of things. There is some action in this story and a little bit of intrigue. The sex is explicit and fits the story and characters. This was a quick read for me. It's a shorter story and very well written. I enjoyed the characters and the story and am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

There were parts of this book that I liked and parts that didn't seem realistic to me. But, overall I liked Trent and Lyla, hence the 3.

Yes, the subplot with the drugs, the brother as a successful artist ex con and some of the other things were a little overdone, but at the same time, the characters as they worked their way through the situations made them work, and made them make sense. So, I am not able to say this was great, or terrible.

The writing was strong overall, the pacing was also strong. The plot had holes and issues...but, that said, it is worth the read.
