OMG are my emotions everywhere right now!! I legit cried so much I think it gave homecoming a running for the tears department. I had sad tears, angry tears, happy tears and just ugghhh my heart doesn’t even know what to feel! My lord this was definitely worth the wait but I cannot wait for the final book! I just have to say I am forever team Mattlyn!!! To say this was a roller coaster of emotions is probably the biggest understatement. I did laugh so much though and seeing the dynamic between Brooklyn, Matt, Tanner and Nigel is legit the best writing ever. If you thought Rob made us laugh the most throughout the Hunter/Caldwell universe we were seriously wrong. This is my new favorite book out of all the books so far and man would I do anything to be able to read this again but as a first time because that was really something special.

enough already

Why another cliff hanger? Just finish the series already. I loved the story getting wrapped up with many loose ends tied up, Brooklyn getting back with Matt and the rest of the untouchables.

I am not a fan of the whole Nigel/Tanner crap at this point. Totally unnecessary. Adding some super natural garbage into a story that was NOT before.

Just finish the series. Stick to writing one series to completion instead of hopping all over the place.

Yes, I’m happy Matt + Brooklyn got their HEA. BUT I am not happy that it took her ONE WEEK after Miller died to run back to Matt’s arms. She made Miller wait almost 12 years to marry him and only because she was pregnant. It took her less than a month in NYC to be engaged to Matt and living with him. I, also, did not like that we didn’t see much of the other Untouchables + Felix have their moments with her. I wish she could communicate with her dad. He’s been protecting her since he found her. Instead she’s blaming him for everything.

I thought the series was going to end here but nope, left on a cliffhanger…

I was waiting for this book for so long. Really liked how Brooklyn and Matt got together again. Not happy with the ending, but have to wait for book #8. Awesome series, Jacob was amazing and of course Nigel is always a trip.

Happy ever aftet??

This book was everything and more! I love that matt and Broklyn found their way back to each other and Jacob loves Matt as much as Brooklyn does!! But who took her? Who is this king and when does the next book come out!!

The Emotions I had throughout this entire book.. left me exhausted once I finished… Book #8 can’t come fast enough. I’ll forever be Team Miller. Brooklyn gave him the best last 16 years of his life as well as a so .. and I’ll always cry when I read about him.. but I really hope Matt and Brooklyn get their happy ending.

This book was everything I needed it to be. I'm going to be honest here. I loved Brooklyn and Miller. I thought they were an amazing couple and I loved the life they built. BUT, Matt and Brooklyn? There's really something special between them.

I had a range of emotions reading this though. Brooklyn still loves Miller, there's no getting around that. The feelings are very much alive and raw. I shed a tear or two at a couple parts in the book when it came to her facing that loss.

The dynamic between Matt and Jacob is just so cute. It helps that Jacob is fairly easy going and they both love football. ;) Jacob adores Matt and all the kids of the Untouchables (anyone see a future book series for these kids?!). The Untouchables crew and their wives are just the family Brooklyn has needed for so long. Let's not forget Kennedy, Tanner, and his houseboy, Nigel. They are all a part of this book, too. I just adored how everyone welcomed Brooklyn back and all of the reunions that happened. It definitely put a smile on my face.

An easy 5 star read for me. :)

But....be warned. There's a cliffhanger. Again.

I have so many thoguths about this book. I really enjoyed it, but there were things I wasn't too happy about.
There are some spoilers, so I rather not post the whole thing here.

The book is very emotional.
There were times had I tears in my eyes. There were moments when I laughed.
It’s a bittersweet story. There were highs and low throughout.
The sadness of the death of Miller.
The hope of a reignited love and of second chances.
It’s funny and lighthearted in many scenes.
Matt and Brooklyn have sixteens that separated them
The healing process wasn’t easy. Both these characters are broken and unsure.
But true love conquers all.
The spice level is off the charts hot and sexy.
And just when it seems that everything is on the right track.
Ms. Smoak delivers one stunning jaw dropping cliffhanger!

This is my first book by Ivy Smoak and I loved it. Even though I have not read the first 6 books of the series, I didn't need them to know what was going on. The story had a very good flow, and the narration was fantastic, and kudos to the narrators Laurie West and Connor Crais for bringing Brooklyn and Matt to life. The only flaw that I saw was the ending, though. I know this couple has been through so much already, to have to go thru some more issues. Other than that, I enjoyed reviewing Exposed: Empire High book 7 by Ivy Smoak
