I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This story follows single father Rowan and former heiress Delilah. After a one night stand Rowan never thought becoming a father would come from that. Delilah is working at a coffeehouse and is still dealing with past trauma from her upbringing. After meeting the two share an instant attraction but Rowan is unwilling to react on that for most of the story. The fact that Rowan and his baby mother live together but are not in a relationship at all was odd to me. Even with them just trying to coparent. It took me a couple of days to get through this one which never is good for me. I just didn’t feel like I. Injected with the characters at all. Overall this one left me wanting more.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Realistic Present Day Dsting Challenges.
Navigating relationships, being a parent and dealing with your baggage is hard. Doesn't matter how successful you become or how selfless you become. Mental Health and healing is real. This book does a great job at exploring that with dashes of spice. I like how they left it open for sequel if wanted. Fleshing to show BIPOC couple in a positive light and the village mentality is needed for everyone.

This was fine? I just finished it and I don't really remember what happened. It was a lot of internal monalogues and a cute idea for a story but it didn't really hit home for me. I can't point at anything that was awful, nor much that I really enjoyed. I did like the South Africa small town setting. I like the supportive circle of dads.
I don't think I can get behind the timing of the relationship here either. I think more discussion with the baby's mum should have been had given the timing and consequent impact on her. I'm not buying the speed with which that was dealt with. Them dealing with their trauma was a lot of internal dialogue and self diagnosis. I feel like that could have been handled better but again it wasn't awful... just a bit meh?

Single Dads Club is about Rowan and his identification after his son, Declan, is born. This book touches on mental health, friendship and love.
I found the title to be very misleading. I expected more of the aspect of Rowan finding friendship amongst a group of other single Black dads but that story is barely the tip of the iceberg.
The romance was very slow burn and almost redundant. Rowan dealt with his inner turmoil for 85% of the book leaving me to be very bored with the storyline.
There were some cute points but overall, I probably wouldn't pick this book up to read it again
