A very spooky trip that unfortunately ends up in more questions than answers.
Such a quick read and I think an excellent and approachable way for someone to dip their toes into the horror genre. It’s creepy and engaging throughout while the back third really brings it home in a positive way.
I am going to have to reread this when I'm in a less distracted mood, but it was very very good

I enjoyed this book in bits and pieces, but not as a whole.
It's a short book, so it builds momentum quickly, which works well in the beginning. The author creates a creepy atmosphere that pulls you into the story and compels you to find out what happens next, but at a certain point, it felt like a compilation of wouldn't it be scary if... scenarios. And yes, for the most part, it was scary. But it was also too much, with too few answers to feel satisfying.
Around midway through, I realized that how I felt about this book would depend on how it ended. Unfortunately, I didn't like the ending at all. It felt abrupt, unresolved, and instead of leaving a lingering feeling of dread in the places where I saw potential, it turned into a message about feminism that felt a little forced and out of place.

This is kinda boring. The creature stuff was fun but leaves a lot more questions than answers. I’m not someone who need every single thing explained but there were certain things that I feel should’ve been tied up
