Brutal, as is befitting for a Constantine.

The last half of this run is so much better than the first, all the plot points are neatly resolved and though I think it could have gone longer, it feels like a great 13 issue story.

Spurrier’s run is easily the best since the Hellblazer Vertigo Days, but I’d argue it’s the best since Mike Carey’s run. The end feels a bit rushed, but from what I understand, the run was cut a bit short, which is an unbelievable travesty. I’ve seen something about a new Hellblazer-like book coming from Spurrier in the near future, so hope isn’t totally lost.

Stunning conclusion to the short run. There were some twists I saw coming, and others that caught me completely by surprise
such as Noah being his son
.  Absolutely incredible reflection on John as a character and how while he’s a hero, darkness lingers around him.
