I purchased this book almost twenty years ago. It was a hard find so for years I put off reading it but couldn't in good conscience give it away because it was rare. I'm so glad I kept it and chose to dive into these short stories. Some of them will stay with me forever, a few I've already forgotten. If you can find a copy, even if it's used and falling apart like mine - get your hands on it. Worth the read. It's also worth noting that Bill Pronzini isn't the author but the editor. He compiled these stories from various authors such as Peter S. Beagle and Bram Stoker.
