Princess in the Spotlight is written in the same diary format of the first book in the series. Mia is a very realistic character that tweens and teens are sure to continue to relate to. She writes in her diary and opens up about all of the things she is dealing with, the best part about this is that even though some of these things are specifically problems that come from her finding out she is a princess the majority of the problems are not. Most of the problems that Mia is dealing with are problems that ANY teen might encounter in their everyday life. The insecurities and interests Mia have are not affected by the fact that she is a princess, they are insecurities and interests that any normal teenage girl might have. these books are quick reads and very entertaining. I know that I plan on reading more to find out what happens in Mia's life.

Such a fun, light read. Exactly what I was hoping for. Looking forward to continuing in the series (at least as long as Anne Hathaway narrates the audiobooks)!

This book was adorable! Made me want to start the next right away.
