I think I find these books way more entertaining than I should.

I actually put this down in October of 2020. I'm sure I've read this before, I've read tons in this series when I was younger, but I was trying to reread the entire series and I think I've just outgrown them now, which is sad, but I'm glad I enjoyed them in the past. I'm also going to remove any unread books in this series from my shelves.

I can see why this one didn't do as well as the first, there isn't a lot that really happens. But I still loved reading it! On to the next one!
Initial Impressions 5/17/18: This book didn't have as much to it in terms of plot and I really felt like I should jump right into the next book! It was cute though, and I really enjoy Anne Hathaway narrating it. Since I'm reading these books long after the movies, it's hard not to picture Anne as Mia the whole way, but it's fun!
I wished there had a been a bit more meat to this book and I feel like it could have been combined with another story but I did enjoy it! It's just fun and easy and cute!

I would probably rate this volume of the Princess Diaries as a 3.5 compared to the excellent first volume. Mia is as spunky and dramatic as ever which makes for a fun read but the plot dragged a bit in the middle.
