yikes they really did leave out a lot in the movies didn’t they. I was expecting that, sort of Lemony Snicket thing where the movie compressed the first 3 books into an hour an a half. But this left me reeling with the sheer amount of plot that just never made it to the film. Don’t get me wrong, I get why it had to happen - it can get a bit filler-esque in places and undoubtedly that’ll continue in the 8 books to come. But Kenny! Not gonna lie, I saw it happening as soon as Mia kept mentioning him off hand in the homework reminders she wrote. How did I forget about Kenny and about Mia and Michael still not being together it hurts. Still really enjoying this series though - not sure of my reading abilities escalating to 10 books in a day but definitely binge-worthy, a 4 star read.

What can I say? Anne Hathaway is a phenomenal reader and if you're looking for a nice, fluffy audiobook I insist you get her Princess Diaries recordings ASAP.
