Aww, this is really too cute. You know how birthdays are exciting and fun this little library card (who went to school to be a birthday card) finds out about libraries he is equally excited. The enthusiasm for libraries in this book is too pure and makes me really happy! It's gorgeous! ~Ashley

I wish I had waited to get Trent a library card, so I could read this to him before we went to get his first one! I love that idea of a bunch of cards waiting around to be assigned to their destiny. Little Card is such an excitable character who just wants to know what he was made for. Although the book is about a library card, he could definitely symbolize kids figuring out what they want to be when they grow up and the journey to getting there. I also love the illustrations that are full of character, light in tone but loud in their meaning.

The sweetest. A celebration of the magic of reading, and of libraries. A sweet story, with great illustrations.

Was excited for this one, but it fell a bit flat for me. I liked the beginning, but by the end it felt too forced with the level of excitement.

Cute. Share it with younger ones learning about the library.

Cute book for older kids (Kindie+) about a card discovering his purpose as a "library" card. My only criticism of this book is they refer to books being date stamped, which makes it just a little disconnected from the 21st century public library experience. Otherwise, would be great for a library-themed storytime

A very cute story about a card who learns how to become a library card. And how you can have the excitement of a birthday every day.
