I adored this storyline. Such a great book! I flew through it today. I don’t know if the Team Up deal is an actual thing, but it made for an enjoyable story. I have a special place in my heart for fostering & adoption & I had fun reading this take on it. I also loved the ASL representation. 🥰

This is my second book by this author, and I am fully on the bandwagon now. Warren and Chloe are the most perfect pairing of enemies to lovers I’ve ever seen. Like her other book there’s no third act break up and thank you for that. This book is about trust in building connections and letting someone see you for who you really are. It was beautiful and heartbreaking and so real. I just loved that both characters made such a beautiful thing out of a circumstance that many will never experience.

This book was good! It was an incredibly heavy context for a romance to be set in. It made me feel super attached the characters which is always a treat but I also feel like it didn’t get all the space it deserved all the time. The characters loved each other so big and it was absolutely adorable but I feel like they were just suddenly in love, they had no each other awhile but the build up was a little weird. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to recommend but it could come up because I did like it! The deaf rep was fine, I don’t think I know enough to give that a real review but it felt fine to me!

I know this was HBYs first book, and it shows with how insta-lovey it is and the disjointed side characters and their motivations, however,  this was a sticky sweet delicious romance that i really really enjoyed overall.
one thing HBY loves is an extremely public and nauseating proposal in her epilogue/last chapter that will alway make me knock off a half star.
I really connect with HBYs writing and her main characters, I can’t wait for Out on A Limb to come out with its new over next month! this makes me also want to re-read next to you.
