I really, really liked this one (read for a book club). Enjoyable drama and humor, centered around a family restaurant in my very own neighborhood (which earns bonus points from me). Local details were spot on — I do own so many tote bags!

Very sweet slice of life with interesting characters and thorough descriptions of grief. I often found the main characters whiny, and sometimes had trouble relating to their points of view because of this.
I was getting We Are the Brennan vibes, and I think I didn’t like it as much because I kept comparing it to that book. I just wasn’t as invested in the characters.
