Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. This makes so much sense in the context of religion and the story of Jesus’ life.

It was hard for me to remember this was a work of fiction when it came to Jesus. The way he’s depicted and the actions/words said about and by him contradict with my memory of who he is. That being said, the main female character was well written and an interesting story. I liked that it was feminist without belittling men

An interesting take and fictionalization of Jesus's life through the eyes of a woman.

This beautiful book is a tribute to all the forgotten women of history. It is a tale of their strength, their sacrifice, and their resilience in the face of family, social and religious pressure. I was so taken by the story of Ana, and was completely drawn into her story.
