This book was honestly incredible. I could not put it down and felt so smug when I "guessed" the plot twist. Oh boy was I wrong. The writing is top notch, the characters well developed and interesting. Honestly one of the best horror books I've read!

I found this book very slow to build but eventually there was a change in pace!  It had me thinking that not everything in this world is as black and white as it might seem and there are some very grey areas.

We’re taught to not judge a book by its cover and not jump to conclusions. Every conclusion you jump to is already planned out and it is all  clarified at the end.

Oh my god was this book boring, even listening to the audiobook was boring. The twists were interesting but also did not make sense I feel like I have to reread it or listen to it again. I don't know this book just honestly was not my cup of tea. I wanted to like this book, but nothing happened, that made me enjoy this book. Even the person narrating the audiobook was boring, it almost put me to sleep while listening to it. This book was just weird and honestly not my vibe. I think that in the future I might give this book another shot, I have a lot of books on my TBR so we will see if I even get to it again. I might give it away or I might read it again, we'll see what happens first.

I don't recommend this for a true horror reader, I don't read horror much and I didn't find it that scary.
Maybe a psychological mystery but not horror.

I struggled with this one. It was hard to keep track of the different POVs and required a lot of brain power to keep track of it. Good, unpredictable twist though.

Poor execution of a bad concept. This started as a thinly veiled retelling of a Ted Bundy murder, but with a psychic cat. It ended with a “whoa the not-Ted-Bundy-protagonist has DID from childhood abuse! his probable victim and cat are both alternate personalities of his!!!! and it’s the neighbor woman out for justice who was the real murderer!!!!!!!!”
