For the longest time, this didn’t really grab me. Then it all kicked off towards the end and redeemed itself into 4 stars. I liked the addition of Dietz, I could stand to read more with him in...

I really enjoyed that there were two story lines throughout this book. And a bit more depth/ twists than previous ones in the series.

Listened to this on audio. It's fun going back to Grafton's earlier work. The stories are a little more straight-forward; not quite so complex. Her writing definitely gets better later, by these early novels are like old friends.

I appreciate how Grafton grows as a story teller as the series progresses. I hope Deets comes back in the future. What exactly does an electric letter opener look like?

in which kinsey drives to the mojave desert with a price on her head. kinsey, don't escape from your bodyguard when there's a trained assassin on your trail. it's stupid.

This one's my favourite. It has a nice new dynamic between Kinsey and her bodyguard, a mystery with English lit references, and family drama.
I thought it was so fun.

G is for Gumshoe is the 7th book/case in the Kinsey Millhone (Alphabet Series) by Sue Grafton.
This one lost me a bit.. Lots of characters, and two storylines at once as well as an unexpected romance.
In this case; May 5th is a big day for Kinsey. She’s hired to find a missing senior in the mojave, her apartment is finally renovated/ready, she’s at the top of Tyrone Patty’s hit list, and just turned 33! The hunt for senior Agnes Gray is a welcome distraction to Kinsey while someone has hired a hit man to kill her (who btw - is enjoying the cat/mouse chase) and despite being ran off the road she is reluctant to hire fellow investigator Robert Dietz. Another comfort listen, just a bit more difficult to follow.
