It was said that King was on things when he wrote this. Perhaps if I was on them while reading this wouldn’t have been so bad
Eventually a decent read, but not one I'll read again.
As with all of Kings great books, the strength lies in the characters. King is a master story teller, sure, but the stories would be meaningless without the people in them. Duddits and his friends are another set of King characters that will be hard to forget.
Probably about 3.5 stars... I did like it, but I feel like it could be cut down a lot, sometimes I felt like it would never get to the point but over all I did enjoy the story a lot and the ending was bittersweet.

Drags in the middle a little bit but it's 900 pages long so what did you expect. If you watched the movie but it's been a while, pick up the book. It's my favorite Stephen King novel - parts are set in Quabbin! Try to get through the part where they're driving through the snow and you'll make it through the whole thing, I promise.
