In all honesty, I had high hopes for this book. I've read some of Stephens work and loved most. I was utterly disappointed in this book. There were some interesting parts, however; for the most part I found it confusing, and incredibly boring. I spent months trying to finish this book hoping it would start getting better but the longer I went on the same it stayed. If you're looking for a good Stephen King novel, I don't recommend this one.

First off this book was NOT SCARY!! Which was good for me but if that's what you're looking for go else where. The ending of this book was confusing and a little lack luster I would have gave the book a 2 based on the story itself and the ending. But it got a 3 because in the first 200 pages King had me laughing out loud. Just some of the lines and the descriptions were hilarious to me. I liked the friendship aspect of the book and how easy the story flowed even though it was being told from several different characters, it was still easy to follow. Bases of the book is about 4 teens who become friends with a mental challenged kid and have a special connection. As the boys get older they they go their separate ways and start their lives and lose touch with their friend that is slower and will continue to be childlike for always. They never forget him but they are thinking of him more and more while on a hunting trip that goes from normal to Alien. The story jumps back and forth between their teenage years and present day making the past a little more clearer as the present unravels.
