Much derived, but I love this weird long book King wrote on Oxycontin. I guess there's something with him and drugs that made him write about aliens.
For those of you who have never picked up Steven King, I would recommend starting here. (FYI: I also really liked the movie...thought they did a good job.) King typically includes elements of the supernatural, weird and sometimes disturbing. This one also has the added fun of aliens/beasties. King usually has a fair bit of language, I honestly don't remember if this one was worse than the others. Random aside: if this one does not appeal to you and you still want to give him a try, "Insomnia" is also very good.
I don’t care what you say, this book and Dr. sleep will always be my two favorite books from Stephen King! This movie was also no exception, though it will upset most fans, myself, not included, with how the movie took base. I thoroughly enjoyed both! I enjoyed the book more and it is just such a well written novel done by the king himself.
I just watched the movie the other week and it made me cry from how bad it was lol. Was this book that bad?? And why did Beaver die so quick??? :(

It meanders too much at times, especially toward the end; I swear, King needs an extra editor to just help with his endings sometimes. That said, I'm probably more positive on it than most other King fans I know, possibly because of the performance of the narrator in the audiobook. A couple different parts made me genuinely laugh out loud, assisted no doubt by the thick, hilarious New England accent.
