I made a decent effort to get through this book to become fully caught up on the Cosmere, but the pacing is a bit too slow to keep my interest so far and the worldbuilding is a bit more than I can keep up with right now. I may try to read it again at a later time.

Very very smooth pace for such a long book. Great way to wrap up fantasy as a genre in one singular book.

Coming off of reading the Mistborn trilogy, Elantris feels very different. This book feels a bit less polished compared to the other Sanderson books I’ve read. However I did really enjoy this book! The first half is pretty slow and is mostly political intrigue. The last ~150 pages take a real left turn and it gets pretty dark at the end. The last section of the book definitely felt rushed but it was really good!
