TW: dying pets

This feels shorter than the other novellas I read so the characters didn't quite make an impact on me. Still a good read tho.

July 2020 reread:

I haven't reread this since the first time I finished, I think? Definitely appreciate Noel and Nimra more this time around, but compared to other novellas like Judgment and Dance, this one is still a bit down in the tier.

4.75 stars.

Well written. Perfect flow. Great character build. Left you well satisfied.

The mystery of what is going on that Noel has been called to Nimra's side to investigate is interesting and takes up the majority of the story.

Their attraction to each other hits pretty fast but they don't act on it. Lot of intense reasons on both sides of that.

The steam is a slow burn but when it hits, it's very hot and passionate. The build up to their first encounter is full of sexual tension.

I loved both characters.

2nd time reading.

Another puzzle piece to the complex world of vampires and angels in the Guild Hunter series. Noel has been moved to territory of the angel Nimra. He is there to help her uncover nefarious forces within her court. A quick read but filled with intrigue, suspicion, betrayal and love. A perfect accompaniment to this wonderful series.

Series: Guild Hunter #3.5
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Vampire Noel has been sent to the territory of the beautiful and dangerous angel Nimra. He is tasked with uncovering a traitor but quickly finds himself falling for the Nimra.

This was a very good novella for the series. I was happy to see that Noel got a happy ending after all the pain he endured. Noel and Nimra’s relationship was slow paced and filled with chemistry. I really liked Nimra and how powerful she was, but still very compassionate compared to the other angels. Overall, I really enjoyed these two and I hope they appear in future books because I want to see them have a long HEA.

Trigger Warnings:
- Heroine had a miscarriage in the past.
- Death of beloved pets.
- Death of a side character.
- Hero was tortured in the past.

After being brutally attacked and almost killed, Noel is sent to New Orleans to assist that territories' angel, Nimra in finding the person who made an attempt on her life.

I was thrilled to have a story of Noel after his attack. He was left so broken, it was lovely to see him start to heal on the inside. Plus I was left with another happy ending! :)
