Absolutely stunning sequel, ramped up the action and relationships from book one. Love love loved this.
This book takes the conclusions from book two and ramps up the action and stakes. I loved the additional worldbuilding and the few chapters that switch POV to different crew members. There are some character deaths in this book that are shocking without being done purely for shock value.
Wheelhouses: high seas adventure, badass older female character, the author retconning gay subtext to text, higher stakes, smaller adventures leading to a larger plot, everything about the gulliame.
