This book swept me away into a mesmerizing retelling of the Arthurian legend, where Morgan le Fey takes center stage. Right from the start, I was captivated by the poignant backstory of our protagonist and the clever twists that breathed new life into the familiar tale. The slow-burn romance between Morgan and the enigmatic Kairos Draven had me positively giddy with anticipation. The sparkling banter between them added an extra layer of delight. The world-building transported me effortlessly into this enchanting realm, although there were instances of slightly overwhelming information towards the end. With its blend of betrayal, intrigue, and unexpected revelations, this book left me yearning for more. If you crave a spellbinding fantasy romance with rich characters and a fresh take on Arthurian lore, looking forward to the next one.
camelot, but make it a dark fae romance?? absolutely!! the slowwww burn and 'touch her and die' tropes had me in an absolute chokehold. vivid descriptions of both characters and settings led to some amazing, in depth world building that DIDN'T bore me. the fmc did seem quite naive and annoyed me at a few points in the book, but i feel her character growth already and cannot wait to continue this series.

Could not put this down. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the next one in the series
really was not expecting to like this. and was honestly considering dnf'ing until about 19% then i was interested in what happens next. i personally liked this book but i can see why others would hate it lmfao. be your own judge i guess. the only bit that was a hard read was the vesper sex scenes. my god. skiiiiip. he gave me the creeps from day one and then you did this to me?? nahhh bye. glad my intuition was correct about him. he's joing the red haired inhuman man betrays naive girl with powers gang with keenan from ember in the ashes lmao.
this was a slog to get through. my main issue was with the author’s writing style - i could see the appeal sometimes, as the simplicity of it was still very descriptive. but i found that where i had a solid sense of things, I didn’t have an emotional sense to go along with it. scenes that should’ve hit hard with impact just… didn’t, and instead I felt nothing for any characters or plot points. I didn’t connect with anyone, or the world, and I felt like some choices were a bit bizarre. the overall idea of the plot and setting is interesting though and that’s what the 2 stars are for. however there was so many mistakes in this book that should’ve been picked up by an editor?
