An okay book with absolutely hideous cover art. The reprinted origin story was not something I remembered - I expected something worse, but it wasn't bad. In general the book was a pretty good character study in Luke Cage but didn't tell all that much of who he really was. But pretty good writing and mostly good enough art. 3.5 of 5.

Who doesn't love a good, "you've got to go back to the old neighborhood to solve a dilemma" kind of story. The art was cool and gave the book a nice, retro vibe. My one complaint is Jessica Jones. In this era she's relegated to being a stereotypical sitcom wife, and I'm not about it.
