Kudos to this writer to get me invested in a story with a main character I just cannot respect lmao. Ok hear me out, while Lottie is a nice enough woman, she is not anyone I would ever willingly be friends with irl. But I still really cared about this story and her journey. I'm really proud of how the book ended and her personal growth while sticking to her ultimate relationship goals.

I'm very surprised this story has low reviews! I really enjoyed it. This is between a 3.5 and 4.

Lottie Jones is a wedding planner at a very exclusive event planning firm. This was not her original plan though. Her original plan was to marry her college sweetheart and be a sports wife/maybe lawyer, while having the most amazing wedding she'd been planning forever. This all went down the drain when she was dumped, leaving her heart broken and her future unknown. Throughout the story, Lottie experiences the ups and downs of weddings, friends and relationships, meeting Griffin, a pessimistic man who she'd like to know better, along the way.

I really liked this story! I will say it was a tad long and I would never call it a romance. It's more a journey of self discovery, it's very funny and has a lot of interesting weddings throughout it. The story takes place over a long period of time as well. I did like the relationship between Lottie and Griffin, although it is an extreme slow burn. I do wish that we knew more about Lottie. I felt like I did know her-but I didn't completely understand her obsession with her own wedding. The book made it seem like her own wedding not happening was a huge thing but it never explained the why well enough-why was it so big? Why did it bother her so much? I didn't get that part. I enjoyed reading about Lottie's friendships and relationships with her co-workers. This story kept me interested the entire time and I enjoyed it! I love reading about weddings and this fit the criteria. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

I was super bored, the pacing was weird, i just got pissed off and i just couldn't get into the book, the main character also seemed to have no personality other than wanting to get married, i also personally could not figure out who the love interest was supposed to be so i looked it up but then read some reviews and they said that 3 guys were the love interest and she only ended up with one but that there wasn't much romance in the book. So it seemed like a love triangle situation which also contributed to the dnf.

This was such a light fun read. I think Lottie, our main character, is a hot mess from beginning to nearly the finish, however, that's kind of the entire point.

Life is a series of choices, paths, adventures if you will. Sometimes people cruise right along and others they are stuck at a fork or worse they've just stopped.

Nothing in life will ever be perfect but the point is to continuously discover and rediscover who we are. To keep up with ourselves and how we grow with each of those decisions we made. . . it's a journey.

Lottie had her life planned, she thought she knew what she wanted, and when that plan was derailed, she spun out. We get to be with her as she rediscovers who she is.

Sometimes in life we think we want something and then a shift in perspective shows we had what we wanted all along. The grass is always greener and all that ... or is it?

Thank you to Harper Muse, Mary Hollis Huddleston, Asher Fogle Paul and NetGalley for the advanced review copy.

This book is a great story about a woman finding her way and her career in her late 20s/early 30s. However it is not a romance but its marketed as a romance and theres like no romance. And I found that a little frustrating

This book was read thanks to NetGalley

This book was a fun read, that it should be read. The lead character is a bit of mess, but is kind of funny. I recommend this book for those who enjoy weddings, since the book centers in her job, which is wedding planner. the love story is kind of predictable but doesn't mean isn't enjoyable
