So many emotions. Couldn’t stop reading this book. Only wish there was more closure at the end.

Really enjoyed this thriller. Very heavy foreshadowing meant the twists were telegraphed pretty clearly, but getting there was a lot of fun!!

For a while this story got a bit tedious for me. I wanted to say, I've got it, Cass is scared and forgetful! But, I liked the overall story and did want to sit down and find out what happened. Overall, I liked it but not a favorite.

The redundant phone call scenes drove me bonkers but the end was fun.

I thoroughly enjoy reading B.A. Paris' thrillers. She does such an amazing job at drawing you in from the beginning and keeping you hooked the entire time! Also, I almost never guess what actually happened until the reveal towards the end. (Which is unusual for me. Loa)

In this particular story, the main characters has begun to lose her memory. It starts with little stuff, but continues to grow in intensity until it becomes much bigger. Her mother was diagnosed with dementia at a young age so that is her biggest fear.

During all of this, a new friend is found dead in her car really close to the main characters home. Naturally this brings out even more paranoia as the story unfolds. She starts to wonder if she is going insane while subconsciously knowing something else must be going on.

Definitely a good read!!! Highly recommend for any thriller fans. Does have quite a few curse words as a warning.

Audiobook. I think I would have preferred to read this rather than listen, but at least the narration was done well. It's a mystery (not well-hidden, but I rather liked how it finally played out) so I don't want to say too much. Cass is both sympathetic and maddening, and the author mostly does a good, believable job with the breakdown. I normally like dual perspectives and initially thought this could have used them; however it retrospect, we need to be firmly in Cass' viewpoint.
