I still don’t think I’m a suspense girl but it was a wild story. It started out pretty boring and took a while to get into. But once all the pieces started falling into place I couldn’t put it down. I might have to add a genre to my repertoire

Strong start, excellent third act, but lord did it drag in the middle. Even on my commute where I'm essentially a captive audience, I grew to resent Cass and rather root for her decline (I might be a little dead inside). Turned around in the end, and even proved me wrong

on my thoughts on John, though I did find the actual murderer to be a bit contrived
