I would say it would be one of my favorites however I feel like
they shouldn’t have been together. I was mad that Zahra took him back after the whole hospital scene( which really pissed me off cause he treated her like a burden in which I was like wtf is wrong with you she’s laying in a hospital bed where she almost died , and bestie is all like oh if she died in my bathroom that would suck/ be a lot of paper work. Bro really made me mad there like fr) miss girl put so much trust in him like he had her heart and soul wrapped around his fingers and he squished her heart like a grape. My trust issues are far more extreme I would have left him to get hit by a car and not care by that point.

..why was this book hyped again?

Grumpy billionaire Rowan Kane receives a letter from his late grandfather that states he needs to pitch an improvement for his legacy, the Dreamland themepark, in order for him to inherit his share of the company. The solution lands on his lap (literally) when one night, Zahra Gulian drunkenly submits a proposal that interested him. Rowan then begrudgingly hires her and unexpectedly develops feelings despite the protests of his jaded shell of a heart.

I have to admit, I read this book completely because of the hype. I will say, the swoony moments that people keep raving about? It's there. I swooned and tabbed the hell out of those scenes too. The swoon coupled with the steam is something enjoyed reading about hands down.

I think the biggest selling point of this book is Zahra's character as a whole. I LOVED her as a heroine. She had her personal issues but she still displayed so much strength and her energy is something I want to possess myself.

I also loved and appreciated that this book featured Ani, a character with down syndrome. From what I can remember, this is the first time I've read a character with that condition in a romance book and I deeply appreciate it. Ani played a huge role in melting Rowan's icy front and I think it gave a little extra positivity to the whole reading experience that I greatly enjoyed.

As for the things I wasn't a fan of, I'm very sad to say that Mr. Rowan Kane tops that list. He had his lovable hero moments, but I wasn't a big fan overall. He was the type of grump that put me off from the start and that lingered all throughout. My biggest peeve with him is the fact that he was so out of touch with the working class that he even made the heroine herself feel insignificant...and then he proceeds to feel attracted to said heroine and even suddenly kisses her. I know he had his reasons and he had his whole character development and whatnot, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth that negatively affected my view of him from then on out.

Overall, my experience with this book resembled a roller coaster (very fitting for this book if you ask me): meh to love to meh again. Needless to say, the ending didn't blow me away and that made me pretty sad.

Would I still recommend this? Maybe. This was a very quick and easy romance read thanks to the very short chapters. It just wasn't my cup of tea, I guess.

I LOVE THIS BOOK. It might end up being my favorite book of all time. I just happy thing about it, you could say. It gives you grumpy x sunshine, i hate everyone with you, protective, posseiv. Zahra's whole mood, enegry and vibe is to die for. When you read you can't stop your self for smiling. She is so wholesome if that is correct to say?  I dont know how to explain it. I just love her. The way she acts like a child sometimes, AWWWWWWWWW. I also cant get over how moody Rowan is. It hillarous sometimes. THe spsicy parts of the book lived to my exception after what i heard about it before reading. (this review makes no sense). This book offered me everything, EVERYTHING. Some sad moments, many many funny, cute, and quricky momments, and some unexpected scens that i loved, it gave carring and procetiv Rowan.
This copy of the book incluedes the extende eupolg.

After reading This book the second time, I was not a five star read for me.

I wanted to read this book as I have seen it all over Booktok and Bookstagram. Holy hell, why in god’s name is this the first time I am hearing about Lauren Asher. I’ve had a taste and I want more of the Kane brothers. This is the first book in a series of interconnected standalones following the billionaire Kane brothers.

There are two points of view in the novel. The first point of view is Rowan. He is in the business of creating fairy tales – theme parks, production companies and five-star hotels.  Rowan could have everything if he renovated Dreamland. He thought hiring Zahra was a good idea until he kissed her. Things totally spiralled out of control once he started texting her using an alias. By the time he went wrong, it was too late. Rowan believes that people like him don’t get a happy ending and that he is destined to ruin it. The second point of view is Zahra. She works at Dreamland and she submitted a drunk proposal which criticizing Dreamland’s most expensive ride, she thinks she is going to get fired, however she is offered her dream job by Rowan. The catch? She has to work for the most difficult boss she has ever encountered. Rowan was rude and completely off-limits, but she didn’t care. At least not until she had discovered his secret. Zahra things he can teach the billionaire that money can’t fix everything, especially not their relationship.

Oh, this book owns my heart - I think I can read this every day and not get bored of it. I love the representation of Zahra, she is European-Armenian plus size and she is a ball of sunshine who is nice to everyone and is always smiling. She thought she blew her chance on her dream job working as a creator in the Dreamland theme park, but after a drunken email she is now on the creator’s team, where she meets Rowan. I love Rowan he is the grumpy, youngest Kane brother. He isn’t at Dreamland by choice, he is here to get the money from his grandad’s will. His grandad set each of the brothers a mission in order to get their percentage of the will. I love Rowan and Zahra’s dynamics and the relationship they create. I love the multiple POVs and I love the playlist that is at the front of the book. I can’t hate anything about this book, I already want to read the second and the third book and any other of Lauren Asher’s book.

2.75

Don't get me wrong on the 2.75 rating - it's giving everything what it has been advertised as, it just wasn't my cup of tea lol. We get an rich and bossy ✨emotionally unavailable man✨ and a quirky, loving sunshine woman that works for him. What more can I say?

I actually liked the grumpy x sunshine dynamic in the end even though it's obv very cliché. The characters grew on me even though Rowan is a possessive alphahole (to quote SJM) and Zhara felt a little too not-like-other-girls from time to time. I enjoyed their story even though it was very predictable and some of the struggles seemed unreasonable (the 2nd conflict was so unnecessary). You see? It was a nice, quick read which had me cringing more often than i hoped (some really strong wattpad vibes) but was also able to force a little silly smile out of me. If i had been able to fully immerse into the story the backstories might have made me more emotional, but half of the time i couldn't take Rowan and his daddy issues seriously (even though they are obv understandable, but it just felt very stereotypical).

I really like romance novels but i catch myself being hyper aware of red flags every time i pick a book like that up which leads to me not being able to fully enjoy it. I am a huge advocate for the whole "it's not the same! no, but it's not the same!" when it comes to enjoying (romance) books which display things that are questionable. But i need the story to be written very thoughtfully so i'm emotionally invested before cringe or my red-flags-alarm kick in. Often times I wished the author would've chosen to "show, don't tell".

So: A nice read for everyone who can shut their brain up when sth along the lines "i want to own you" or "you don't have a say in this" comes up. Or who can enjoy reading a billionaire romance without rolling their eyes at the amount of unchecked privilege and classism it displays/reproduces.

Otherwise this book got everything you want from christian-grey-like-flexing-with-wealth (v over the top dates which one can only dream of), a little bit of kind-of-forbidden romance over girl turns icy guy into a simp to tragic backstories.

I really liked The Fine Print, but I was never fully pulled into the story. I can’t really put my finger on why. There were so many sweet and romantic moments throughout the book that kept me reading, and I want to read Declan’s and Cal’s story as well!
