I found it more grotesque than scary, but it was just sooooo long. I feel like I had been reading this book forever granted it was just 2 months, but it was the longest 2 months of my life.

At this point no review I give will do any better than anyone else. Better than the TV movie and the movie movie in some regards. Worse in others. This is best enjoyed high and it was the first thing I read after getting sober during the pandemic and I did not enjoy directly after the GoT finale
Welp. This was definitely one of the thickest books I have ever read.
This one scared the beejeezes out of me when I was a kid. As an adult it is indisputably entertaining.

Harika yazılmış üstünde çok düşünülmüş bir kitaptı. King gibi bir ustadan beklenileceği gibi. Kitabı okurken gerçekten zorlandım dediğim gibi ustaca yazılmış bir kitap ama hikayeyle alakası olmayan o kadar fazla ayrıntı vardı ki az kalsın dayanamayıp bırakacaktım ama bu muhteşem hikayenin sonunu okumadan rahat edemezdim.Kitabın sonuna doğru olan bir bölümünde ip koptu okuduklarıma inanamadım, bana aşırı garip geldi. Spoiler olacağı için ayrıntı veremiyorum ama sonra yabancıların yazmış olduğu yorumları okudum onlardanda aynı şekilde düşünen çok kişi gördüm. O bölümü okuduktan sonra kitabın gözümdeki değeri aşırı düştü keşke o bölümü yazmayaydın be King. Ah ahh kısacası benim için tüm zamanların favorisi olabilecek olan bu kitaba 3 puan vermek kalbimi çok kırdı.
Yikes. This will be my last Stephen King attempt. The straight, white, male writer as our hero protagonist is overused by King to the point of being laughable and I just can't take it seriously any more. I'm sick of his blatant misogyny, homophobia, racism, and oh my god FATPHOBIA running through all of his books even/especially as his white liberal main message would be that everyone's ok by him. And I know I'm not the target audience here, but the casual nature of it makes it all the more insidious, because people reading it might accidentally internalize some of the bullshit. I can't BELIEVE the climax of Beverly's child arc was that and then in the climax of the adult arc she literally did nothing because what, we'd already used her up? I felt like people said this book was good and so I fucking SLOGGED through the first 10% until things started to pick up, and then finishing it has felt like a determined marathon of work that basically never got fun because of all the aforementioned reasons and then in the end just made me super mad (well, throughout just made me super mad). Glad Silver did something, I guess. I don't regret reading It because I have now fucking earned my permanent retiring of Stephen King. Oh, also it was fucking waaaaaaaay too long. Get over yourself. Woof.
Giving it 2 stars because if anything, it did take a lot of effort to plan out and write. But from a liking it perspective it's definitely a 1.
