Eden has changed beautifully - becoming every bit the warrior she wished to be.
In this book, we see the crashing, the repairing, and then the devastation of Eden's relationships - both romantically and platonically.
Truth be told, I feel devastated myself. What do you mean the third book to this Trilogy isn't out yet? And this book ended on a cliffhanger like THAT?! What do you mean this is how I start my 2025 reading marathon off?!
This read has been a roller coaster in the best and most unfathomable way. Hearts have been broken, they have been mended, they have been crushed. My own heart hurts for Dom and the fragility of the relationship they were forming, only for it to be exposed in such a way so early on.
Eden is a quiet protector, suffering the guilt of doing what she thought could keep her loved ones safest. Her biggest downfall: not letting those loved ones in on her thought process. Instead allowing her protection to look more like betrayal and feel every single bit of it.
My heart hurts. My eyes hurt. Day Death may have happened 5 years ago, but Ddomsday is looming on a knifes edge.
To be completely honest, I have no idea how she is going to repair the chasms that have been created... How she will bridge across them and reach the ending she deserves. But I cannot wait to find out.
Don't break my heart too much Rebecca Quinn. I don't think I have the same kindness as Beau, the same understanding as Jasper, the same unquestioning faith of Jayk, the silent approval of Dom, and definitely not the resilience of Lucky.
I am hoping beyond hope that this series ends with a happily ever after.

God, these books were infuriatingly angsty, yet undeniably unputdownable. I inhaled them. They made me ache so beautifully. The intricacies of so many relationships, the levels of kink in them, the depth of friendship and love and hurt and healing and betrayal⌠fuck me, it was delicious. I seriously havenât eaten in two days while I just read. Iâm pretty Iâm dehydrated too.
And now I will just cycle through the rollercoaster of emotions and what could possibly come next and where do we go from here because FML the last book isnât out yet. DESPAIRS.

This book was INSANE. Rebecca girl you had me SWEATING. Letâs go over a couple things, shall weâŚ
ONE - the brutes are my RIDE OR DIES. I love every single one of them. Every. Mf-ing. One. I refuse to pick a favorite, you cannot make me because how could you?! Theyâre all lovable for such different reasons. And if my girl Eden doesnât have to choose, neither do I.
SECOND - This book is plot heavy. Itâs long, so buckle the F up. There is SO much that happens in this book and honestly I can see why it was 700 pages. If youâre looking for JUST smut, youâre looking in the wrong place because this book has so much depth and story and plot behind it. It was *chefs kiss*.
THIRD - while i said youâre in the wrong place for JUST smut, i didnât say for smut in general because WOOOOOHHH the spice was SPICING in this book. The scenes were hot and had me panting. I can see why Eden Girl doesnât choose, those men are wickedly beautiful in different ways. You go girl!
FOURTH - my girl did us dirty, again, and Iâll be IMpatiently waiting for book three so I can watch them build themselves back up.

Another smashing success from Author Rebecca Quinn. Entangled picks up right after Ensnared, so make sure you read that first. I listened to the audio for this one, and the addition of 3 more narrators made this a very rich experience. Avery Caris is a queen, and does a fabulous job narrating a majority of the book. Eden is such a resilient, dynamic character. I can't wait for book 3!
How did it get better than book one? Im not sure but it 100% did! Picking up right where Ensnared left off, we follow Eden through several journeys in book two. The prose was gorgeous, the love was palpable. One of my favorite reads of the year!
Not every interaction has to mean that she is unlovable and stupid. Just something to think about.
**huge thank you to the author for an ARC of the book!**
When I tell you I ATE THIS UP. To be totally fair I've been done with this book for like 4 days-- I just work for a major cellular company and it's December and we have higher ups coming to visit this week AND I caught a cold so my ability to function outside of posting TikTok's already in my drafts was non-existent (sorry rebecca!!).
But I flew through this so fast.. my husband legit yelled at me for not sleeping bc I couldn't put it down.
If you thought book 1 was good? YOURE NO WHERE READY FOR HOW GOOR BOOK 2 IS. Somehow Rebecca was able to write a second book of the series and not fall into that dreaded "second book trap" that like 90% of people fall into in one way or another⌠She absolutely kept things rolling with the plot⌠The character growth⌠This suspense⌠And, of course, the smut!
AND MY GIRL EDEN IS SUCH A BADASS B*TCH I SWEAR TO GOOOODDDD.
Also could I be anymore in love with Lucky and Jasper? The answer is no. Until the next book probably

A RH probably headed towards a Polyamorous Relationship based in an apocalyptic world with one main heroine and 5 dudes that struggle to admit their feelings to her and/or with each other. There is a MM relationship and at least one spicy scene. This book was longer than the first and caught my attention from beginning to end without any of those boring lull periods waiting to get back to the plot. The Audiobook had a narrator for each main character and omg all of them were amazing. I definitely recommend listening to the audio⌠I read along with the audio.

So it began where the last book left off. Eden is captured by Sam after he lead an attack on Bristle brook. She thinks that all her men are dead and sheâs is grieving. She is beaten and dragged to a camp where Sam runs into his counterpart (whom seemly does not get along) Alistair and Mateo. Itâs unclear if they are lovers but itâs clear Mateo has feelings for Alistair. Alistair is severely injured but he stops Sam and his men from sexually assaulting Eden and another woman at the camp. Alistair also keeps Sam from going straight to headquarters which is a good thing because once they are there itâll be impossible for an escape plan.
There are 2 other women at the camp one who has assimilated and the other who continues to try to escape. Madison with red hair with a strong fighting will, befriends Eden. Eden doesnât talk at first and ignores her but Madison convinces her to live on for those that died and to let their deaths mean something. So Eden comes up with a plan she does not share with Madison because she is hot tempered and sheâs worried Madison will ruin the plan. She remembers the poisonous plant in her pocket that she stopped Beau from using in last book and tells the camp she can cook and sheâs asked to help with Alistairâs healing. She starts to gain trust (somewhat). Madison gets mad at her for helping Alistair because he killed her lover Tommy. She still doesnât spill her plan. The camp breaks into a fight and Sam gives this big scary speech showing his true colors of the violent leading the violent wanting to own women and children. Her and Madison try to sneak away but is Caught by Mateo who ties them back up but doesnât say a word to Sam.
Meanwhile back at Bristle-brook. Sweet Happy go lucky- well Lucky (Lucien) was shot and has three wounds one of which through his chest that hit an artery. Beau was able to patch him up and even though it was touch and go Lucky recovered and Jasper kisses him for the first time. They are a week behind but Dom, Jasper, and Jayk go looking for Eden. Beau stayed behind to repair Bristlebrook and to tend to Lucky who still needs to heal. They lose her tracks because of the rain and they think they found the track again to realize that they tracked the wrong group of men and run into Bentley instead. Once they fight and realize that Bentley is a seemingly good guy who just wants abuteral they end up talking. Bentley says that there is a camp of a group called the sinners with snake tattoos on their hands that have at least a couple women in their camp held captive. He makes a deal for the brutes to get the abuteral for the info.
Meanwhile, Eden doesnât need saving. She finally feels sheâs healed enough and knows itâs her last chance at escaping because Sam is packing up the camp to head towards headquarters. She puts her plant in the soup. Tells Madison of the plan (finally) they also bonded and became friends and Eden told her details of her brutes. Mateo is missing to gather more healing herbs and Sam disappears so sheâs unable to get the soup to them. Sheâs about to give the soup to Alistair but he tells her how his vision isnât the same as Samâs and how he wants to free the women and children. She thinks she might have an ally with him and having him on the inside would be a good thing so she decided to tell him not to eat the soup. She didnât want to kill him either because he seemed good and she wanted some of her humanity to remain intact. Madison is injured but as soon as the men start choking and dying off she grabs Eden and they start to run away.
When the brutes get to the camp dead bodies are everywhere. There is only Alistair and the other woman who is crying over Logan. They ask her about Eden and she says that bitch killed them but finally says sheâs dead anyway because Sam went after them 30 mins ago. Madison is too injured to keep going and they are about to be surrounded so she tells Eden to go on without her and at first Eden says no but eventually starts to go but itâs too late they are surrounded with no way to escape. When they think all hope is lost an arrow hits one of the men and there is an all out assault against Samâs men. The Brutes come into the fray and thereâs so much confusion. Mateo captures Eden and has a gun to her head because he thinks she killed Alistair and doesnât believe she didnât. Eventually Samâs men are killed. Sam escaped. Mateo and Alistair are captured and Eden and 3 of her brutes are United.
Jasper still grapples with his feelings towards Eden and still thinks they cannot fit together based off his failed marriage. Heâs a sadist and his wife wasnât into anything beyond BDSM and it broke them. Jasper and Lucky are a perfect fit because Lucky is a masochist and likes Jaspers style and loves him. But Jasper was his therapist before the apocalypse and he has his ethics.
Dom realized right before they lost Eden that he was starting to get feelings for her but Beau and him were always a team and shared their women and love for BDSM together. Their relationships never thrived because it was Beau rushing in falling hard and it never gave Dom a chance to have a relationship or for the women to get a chance to know him outside of his ranger style of leadership. He just wanted to take things slow with her to get to know her. But he doesnât get a chance to say that because the Madison that Eden befriended is actually Heather. The one woman Dom loved but she chose Tommy over him. So Eden jumps to conclusions and keeps pushing him towards Heather thinking they are meant to be together and that itâs something he wants.
Jayk has feelings for Eden and can finally admit it but he has little self worth and doesnât think heâs good enough for Eden. Eden broke the deal that they all made in the first book and he thinks it means she doesnât want any of them but especially him. She admits she wants him but also the others. He doesnât share and is trying in every way to keep her to himself. They are the first to hook up in this book. It seems things may work out for them⌠at first.
Madison takes them to one of many caverns that she has it was her people that helped them in the attack against Sam. But now the place is compromised because Sam will come back for them because it was as much an attack on his ability as a leader as his pride. He owes his men the women he promised. A decision is made to take all the people in the cavern to Bristlebrook where they have to best chance of survival.
Eden is mad at Madison because itâs clear that she gave up the camera locations to Sam which led to the attack of bristlebrook. Madison explains why: they were running out of food and supplies and they took a chance to go into the city to try to get what they can Madison and her team which included Tommy. The city is ran by Sam and the sinners and they got caught and Tommy was shot execution style by Alistair. She was their captive for 3 months and they wanted info of where her people were because she had women and children. So rather give up info on her people who had no weapons or a fighting chance she led them to bristlebrook who had a fighting chance. Eden could understand the logic⌠eventually. Eden doesnât agree with holding Alistair and Mateo captive and wants to set them free because she still thinks he can be an ally but Madison is out for blood and wants them dead. Dom helps to keep them alive based off wanting Intell but the nightly torture sessions are getting to Eden. One night she sets them free under the deal that once he kills Sam to never come after her or her men and he said as long as her brutes stay out of the city because it was his.
She keeps that a secret and sheâs also dealing with PTSD of having to kill those men and also of trying to stay alive. Itâs eating her up and itâs noticeable to her men. But she refuses care form Jasper because he rejected her in the last book. She discovers that Jasper and Lucky are in love and gets angry at Jasper (on lucky behalf) for him tugging him along and to get some balls and admit how he feels. She again makes a decision for lucky and Jasper (without discussing with Lucky) that she needs to take herself out of the equation because those two are meant for each other. They finally get to bristlebrook and sheâs reunited with Beau and Lucky.
When they sort out roommate situations since they will be sharing their home and Beau calls dibs on sharing with Eden. Jayk gets all mad and storms off. Eden doesnât understand because she thought she communicated to him that she wanted them all (the ones that would have her) but she just doesnât want to share and he thinks sheâs choosing Beau over him because heâs not worth loving. Everyone at the camp starts to treat her like crap like she did something wrong and sheâs struggling to adjust even more on top of her guilt for setting Mateo and Alistair free and her ongoing PTSD sheâs choosing to ignore.
She and Beau are the next to hook up and they admit their love for each other and they play doctor

Rebecca Quinn delivers in book 2 of The Brutes of Bristlebrook series. We get to meet some new people, dive deeper into the relationships between the harem, and the spice is just A+ and 5âď¸.
Rebecca takes us deeper into the relationships between Dom and Beau, Lucky and Jasper, and we learn more about Jayk, and on top of all that, they each are forming their own bonds with Eden.
I am constantly blown away by the way Rebecca Quinn just build ands builds on her post apocalyptic world. The borders of Bristlebrook get pushed out, and along with that, the main characters are forced to re-evaluate their place in this world, and some of the choices theyâve made.
I absolutely loved this book, more than the first one if I am completely honest. I look forward to the next book.
**If audiobooks are more your style, I think this and Ensnared might be two of my favorite Iâve ever listened to. Both are duet style narration, produced by Bluenose Audio - Avery Caris, Rose Diorio, Joe Arden, Sebastian York, JF Harding, Teddy Hamilton, Jason Clark, Gabriel Salinas, Zachary Webber, and Conner Crais. It is insane how good these audiobooks are!**
