Beautifully illustrated. An interesting mix of British spy fare and superheros.

This has definitely been my least favorite Luna Brothers comic series. And maybe it's because it wasn't written by them, but I think it was just my general disinterest in the story.

Spider-Woman is cool, and I'm all for badass female superheroes, but I just didn't find her very interesting on the whole. The art was simple and gorgeous, like I was expecting, but it was the best part of the graphic novel. The story was the opposite of extraordinary and it was pretty rushed. It should have been longer than five issues.

In general, this was decent, but I wanted so much more.

Origin story was a bit grim. There were flashes of Jessica's humor but not many. Problematic aging of character, since she's mentally 14 at most.

The art was pretty meh/weird choices.

Still, there were some good moments. Jessica's quip about the costume, Fury asking for a Dr. Pepper.

I was really disappointed in this one. Normally I love Bendis, but this was not his best work. I'd like to just once, just once, have a female superhero be able to get by without being raped (whether mentally or physically) or abused.

The story was decent and has me excited for the new Spider Woman series, but my God, the art was dreadful.

My only Spider-Woman experience is seeing her interact with other Marvel superheroes in their books (Captain Marvel, She-Hulk) and the relaunched current series. I was curious about her origin, so this seemed like an interesting book. I liked the overall story, but I wasn't crazy about the art or dialogue. I feel like it's a pretty good introduction to the character, though.

How can the same dude who drew the other thing also have drawn this? Why were the lines so thin it was so uncomfortable. Everything looked like those dodgy 90s cartoons but worse cos it was super 2d :\

Also wth this is such a messed up backstory.

How can someone function after spending their formative years in a coma?? They did show that she still had a kid's mind and memories with her being all confused at random words but still???????
