The battle for control keeps you forever guessing in this dom v. dom romance. Sienna has had feelings for Aiden for awhile, but has never allowed them to show. Fabulous Conclusion!
Love stories with Dommes! It was fun seeing Cyana and Aiden finally get together after their sniping at one another in the first two books. Admittedly I wanted to bop Aiden on the head a few times, but he finally got out of his own way.
I listed to the audible version and the narration was on point throughout!

Especially if you’re of a certain age, as this series’ characters are around fifty years old. But they prove love and feelings have no age limit. I loved this sweet sexy read.

So often we read stories of Doms starting relationships with women who have no history as a submissive but rarely do we get a story where a Dom, through changing life circumstances finds himself no longer loving the Dom life and trying the submissive side. I really enjoyed this story. I loved getting inside Aiden's head and being with him as he sorts out just what he wants from his life and how that aligns with how he (and others) view him. I loved the seesawing of his thoughts and felt that it added a realism to the story. I liked Cyana and the care that she took with Aiden, even when she was hurt by him. It did seem to be a very simplistic, easily fixed view of the change that would be inherent in moving from Dom to sub, but this is romantic fiction and we don't want to wait too long for our HEA.

Golden Angel and her books are becoming a favorite. I’d read Dungeon Showdown before but I listened to it for my second read through and it was just as great. Maybe not the best intro to kink for a vanilla person, but it is an amazing book (and series!) for fans of Lexi Blake or Shayla Black!!

Cyana and Aiden, the lead characters have had a mutual attraction for years but they’ve been friends for even longer and they’re both tops. Then Aiden proposes a bet with a night of submission by the loser to the winner. And then he loses. And he enjoys that night and would maybe even like more. But he’s a dom….
This story is dual POV, well written, and my favourite sort of story. I enjoy a Domme. I appreciated the role reversal - seen too many Domme submitting stories - and the genuine exploration of why a person would change their orientation and what some of their concerns might be. Character development as well as relationship evolution are key components of the story and I deeply enjoyed them as well as the erotic intimate scenes which were integral parts of the tale. It’s also been really enjoyable to see a BDSM series with older characters and working through some of the issues that matter for them.
