This was so messy, but in the best way, everyone was feeling feelings and not knowing what to do with them and I ate it up, was it a literary masterpiece? no. Was it a completely original plot? also no (but it did have its own spin on things) I think it did a good job for what I wanted it to and I had fun while reading it.
and the plus size rep!!! It was actually done in such a beautiful way where she isn’t like “i hate my body and im so fat and no one will ever love me” but she wasn’t completely over it either, it felt much more realistic for her to be confident in her body in some days and self conscious in others, she didn’t think less of herself as a person because of it but also wasn’t completely oblivious or ignorant of how the world perceived her either

I can't say i hated it, but I didn't like it. This book had my favorite trope: fake dating. But Marcela made me dislike her with the lying and not being forthcoming with certain things. Theo...sweet Theo seemed to fall first and hard. Honestly, Marcela and Theo are two main characters that shouldn't have been together. Theo deserved better.

Fun but not mindblowing. Feels like a well-written horny Hallmark movie. I was worried this would be too spicy for me but the amount of times the sex was interrupted was just silly.

The reason for the third act breakup was so non-sensical and completely dragged out in the last 25%. Fun to start but messy and incomprehensible at the end (and not in a good way).

I really enjoyed this romance. It was spicier than I tend to like in stories but not in a bad way. I loved the character growth and I especially loved the bookish aspects. I'm so excited for the next book!
