I loved this book so much. I loved Marcela and Theo. It had some of my favorite tropes. I laughed, I cried, I giggled. A great time was had.
I did feel like it could’ve ended sooner, and it dragged on a bit too long unnecessarily with the 3rd act break up. At times the communication was great YET somehow there was still so much doubt that it felt frustrating and I was confused how we were ignoring words altogether.

Enjoyable and cute debut romance. My only complaint is that the love rectangle was over explained. BEN SUCKS so much that I just could not care about Marcela’s decade of loving him, but it was also very relatable as everyone knows a straight woman who should just DTMFA.

DID NOT FINISH: 22%

In the end I couldn’t deal with them still being hung up on people who had been in a relationship for almost a decade. If the relationship had been newer I think I’d been receptive to it.

I’m not sure I ever really recovered from the throw away line from the main character at the beginning of the book about how obviously she’d never be caught dead at a gym. But that eye roll aside, I just didn’t feel any chemistry from the main couple and the obsessive pining for others wasn’t for me.

Both of these characters are terrible. There’s nothing good about their story. Dnf at 62%
