"The Next Best Fling" is a delightful, lighthearted romance that's perfect for anyone looking for a fun and easy read. It delivers on the classic "fling gone wrong" trope with engaging characters, witty banter, and plenty of heat. While the premise is familiar, the author makes it work with a charming story and some seriously steamy moments. 🔥🌶 Beyond the central romance, the story also explores the complexities of female friendships, including navigating toxic dynamics and the importance of genuine support. If you're a fan of rom-coms and enjoy a good dose of spice, plus a touch of real-world relationship drama, this book is a great way to unwind and indulge in some feel-good romance.📚💕

Unlike most romance books, this one actually felt like it could actually happen. There were some points in the beginning of the story that I thought were cringe but overall it fit with the story and should have been cringe. I kept wanting to read more so I know I really liked it. Overall 4.5 stars and looking forward to more books from Gabriella Gamez!

This was such an adorable romance. I felt the chemistry between the mcs from their very first meeting, and it only grew from there. They were flawed but lovable, and I loved Marcela’s friendship with her best friend, Angela. There were some deeper issues discussed in the book, such as family abandonment. Marcella and Theo handled their muddled relationship situation maturely and I really rooted for them as the story went on.
I found some of the stuff around Ben and Alice to be a little repetitive at points, but I ended up really loving the way the novel finished up. This was a really sweet and fun read that I’ll definitely be recommending.

The writing seemed immature. I get that the characters are immature so they can grow in the story but this was not hitting me right. Plus the presence and use of alcohol was a bit much
