This was an excellent work from Alexie. I know others mentioned the repetitive nature as a negative, but I found it to be a really beautiful way of telling the story of Alexie's life. I also really enjoyed the non-linear nature of this story. I will be coming back to a paper copy at a later date for personal annotations.

I found the book rather painfully slow (despite many short chapters), rather repetitive, it felt like the author revealed some of the same traumatic events multiple times (that may be due to the nonlinear structure). At the start, I found the book to be brutally honest, like "The Absolutory True Diary of A Part-Time Indian", but eventually I just found the book to be come very hateful, with the author's voice too venomous to want to listen to at times. Also, there were some topics where I couldn't believe an editor didn't go, perhaps you don't want to publish this, like the passages about the author's bowel movements.
