First romance in a very long time and I enjoyed it — heart eyes swooning gif

The first half was good but it felt like a wattpad written by a 13 year old

Love a grumpy boss rom com. Perfect amount of spice and banter with an actual plot.

Ugh my heart…. I loved this book so much. I ended it sobbing and I recommend to everyone that loves a good SPICY rom com ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Good:

the banter
the romance (duh)
the character development
this is a very emotional read, with a particular focus on the complexity of being a caretaker for an aging parent
Addresses classism / poverty and the importance of paying a living wage.

The Bad:

In spite of being in their late 30s/40s, these two were pretty immature and it definitely got frustrating at times.
I love a grumpy love interest, but he took it a little far at the beginning - going so far as to get her fired from her job.

3.5/5 Stars

“There’s a fine line between annoyance and ‘damn, I really want to get that naked'."

I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. This was a freakin' DELICIOUS slow burn and I loved every second of it. So rich it should be fattening. The characters are older than what you would normally read about in this genre, but I love that they still had all the passion of a young couple in their honeymoon phase. That's #goals.

Charming and Maleficent forever.

Also, we all pictured Stanely Tucci as Linus, right?
