I was originally going to give this book a 3/5, but the last 100 pages made it a 4. The writing is convoluted and hard to understand at times but the story is incredibly original and intriguing.
Just couldn't get into it - was never motivated to pick it back up

I had no idea what I was getting into read with this book. The only thing I knew about it was the title, A Tempest of Tea. When I began, I honestly thought it was going to be cozy historical fiction, then I read the word vampire. That was completely unexpected, but ended up being a pleasant surprise!
It is easy reading, both slow and fast paced (no, not medium…there is a lot going on but it happens slowly…I’m not even sure how to put it into words.) and keeps you hooked right through the end. This book is definitely geared toward younger readers looking for a more “grown up” feel while still being age appropriate and just a tad bit silly, but I still found it enjoyable as (dare I say it) an adult. *insert shutter here*
The character cast is full of personality and really brings the book to life. There is a lot of conversation and not a whole lot of action and even though I wish it was more show than tell, it still works. I look forward to reading the second book!

This book was actually way better than I thought, the side characters are 5/5, also you can not make me hate him, I don’t care what he did he’s just misunderstood he has his reasons there ain’t no way I’m team other guy (I’m trying to be vague to avoid spoilers)
It was a little bit confusing like I lowk still am not entirely sure what went down but it was like good
Yeah I’ll be needing the second book now
And yes I did cry in chapter 58 omg that was so rude
