Title: Theif for Hire
Author: Jillianne Hamilton
Series: (if any) Molly Miranda book 1
Rating:3/5 stars
Format: Ebook

Why'd you pick this book? I love heist books

Summary: Professional, experienced contract burglar.
It’s not exactly something you can put on a business card.
Molly Miranda has made a successful living from “acquiring” valuables and delivering them to clients who pay buckets of cash for her unique services.
So what if she has to lie about her lavish lifestyle in Manhattan and her frequent trips out of the country? Molly has everything under control.
Things go astray when she knocks boots with her charming roommate right before taking off to Scotland with an untrustworthy wildcard on a job assignment that doesn’t go quite as planned.
It doesn’t help that this new partner-in-crime is super annoying. And attractive…
Join Molly on her hilarious adventures as she dodges bullets, trespasses, wears disguises, and steals her way into trouble.

Favorite and Least Favorite part: Heist novels for me always rate at least 3 stars, that being said this is bottom of the barrel. I think Molly is likable enough but in all honesty this book is forgettable and mildly uninteresting.

This was a fun story, with mostly likable characters. It had some humorous quirks, but used them enough to be entertaining (unlike some authors who overdo it to the point of annoyance, at least for this reader's taste).

Will definitely be on the lookout for the sequel!

I stumbled upon this book when I was searching for something good to read. I loved that it was free of course! Right away I was caught up in Molly's personality as well as her tenacity. I laughed so hard several times through out the book, and really enjoyed the story line. The cast of supporting characters were a perfect addition! I mean who knew Rhys would end up being someone she could count on, right? Audrey's snobbish 'tude made me want to be snobbish back to her! Overall, I really really enjoyed this book. I finished it in one sitting (a few hours) even. Once I was done, I went and snagged the second one! Jillianee adds the perfect amount of humor and action. Her characters are definitely memorable on their own, but together they're unforgettable. I'm excited to read more by Jilliane. She's gained a fan for sure!

This is a light action/comedy about a thief for hire and her misadventures both romantic and criminal. It's a fun premise, but unfortunately the book is a shadow of what it could have been. There's quite a lot going on, but it's all addressed at only the most superficial level, whether it be relationships or robberies. Which is a shame, because there are glimmers of promise here. If only the time and effort had been applied to take those glimmers and really make them shine.

What an excellent story! Molly is the type of character you can't help but love, even though she is a criminal (she's got a heart of gold!). I found myself constantly cheering for Molly and getting upset when things weren't working out for her. I am very eager to pick up the rest of this series!

I liked the espionage action, though it's far too often interrupted with the MC thinking about her guy roommate that she attracted to. She spends too much time tripping herself up over this guy who she's not even dating. And the fact that douche Rhys was revealed to "be in love" with the MC towards the end with no backstory makes him an annoying, blackmailing a-hole that's presumably stalking the MC like a creep. Aside from the fact that he had no issue flirting with, and suggested partaking in even further sexual actions, with other women while he is supposedly "in love" with Molly. In my reading journal I gave this book a B.

Good story but if I could give it 3.5stars I would. Although I enjoyed the story and liked the characters, after checking out the next book, I discovered that its the last book.

Having read some of the reviews and a question that was asked, it appears that the author may have abandoned the series after the second book. I’m not interested in devoting my time and energy in another series that the author couldn’t be bothered to finish properly.

I have way too many other books in my queue to read.
