beyond adorable

Would you like to read a story about the two most boring people one could imagine? People who can make urgent transatlantic passages, life during wartime, near death, loss of a beloved family member, amnesia, and a relationship built on a giant lie dull as dirt. Here you go.

Moved from 1 to 2 stars because the last 30 pages were sort of great. Much better than these tepid characters deserved.
funny lighthearted medium-paced

Puede que al principio me pareciera un poco largo, pero me gusto la historia. Tiene ese estilo Julia Quinn que tanto me gusta.

Definitely the best Julia Quinn I’ve read.

Despite the ridiculous title and cover, this was a captivating read. A lie of convenience snowballed into a mess. Fun imagining what New York was like during British occupation... the book Alexander Hamilton described it at length but it came alive more while reading this book.
