Definitely have been enjoying the Bridgerton prequels far more than the main series. The have less of that undesirable mastiness that plagues the main series; the characters are more respectful of boundaries which is nice to have. Only gripe here is ALL the miscommunication/avoidance/what-have-yous. However, I can’t say that I wouldn’t find it hard to fess up.

This one is my favorite of the Rokesby series I think. The characters were more flushed out and the storyline didn't have plot holes.

I enjoyed this one. I thought it was interesting that it took place in NY during the revolutionary war. I thought Cecelia's reasons (excuses) for not telling Edward the truth were weak and a little drawn out. I felt like the ending was abrupt and a tad implausible. I was disappointed that Thomas didn't turn out to be alive (maybe in a future book?!!) and that there wasn't a better explanation for Edward being hit on the head--something nefarious from other military personnel, perhaps? Sigh. Very disappointing.
