I really wanted to like this book. I've been looking for good books set in appalachia but this just wasn't it. It would have been a pretty fast read, but it took me 3 days to actually read it because I just couldn't get invested at all and I was creeping along a chapter at a time hoping it would get better.

Very slow book, it was not a smooth read. The chapters changed narration between the two twins and sometimes I forgot which twin was speaking. They were written so similarly. Also, the stark change in the two characters personalities as soon as they learn they’re witches was jarring.

This is something I have not previously seen before, a cute twin story involving paranormal elements, mystery and them being witches.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It wasn’t bad in any way, it just wasn’t my favorite and there were many points where I just felt that the story lacked in a way. But overall it was a fast read

Next of Twin is a fast paced cozy read. It very much reminded me of the Disney Channel Original Movie Twitches. The story follows Lela and Mae as they travel back to Tennessee to see an old relative. Once they land they begin to feel strange and they discover they have magical powers. Someone is trying to run them out of town. But who?!

This was a beautiful and cozy fun story that was perfect for October. I got the book on the Fantasy Stuff Your Kindle Day and immediately saved the next 4 books in the Wears Valley Witches series.
