Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I listened to this full cast audiobook with some well known actors narrating with James Mcavoy 🔥voicing the main character Morpheus. Joining him was Kat Dennings as Death, Michael Sheen as Lucifer, Taron Egerton as John Constantine, Samantha Morton as Urania Blackwell, Riz Ahmed as the Corinthian, Andy Serkis as Matthew the Raven, Bebe Neuwirth as the Siamese Cat and Neil Gaiman himself as the Narrator.

It was a full house of talent telling this crazy dark story. As good as everyone is, I feel like there are parts more meant to see đź‘€ than hearđź‘‚which is a complaint I have with this type of audiobook. It does make me more interested in watching the show now though, so there’s that.

The narration cast was fantastic! It earned the third star. But I wasn't crazy about most of the stories. Not the kind of Gaiman work I've come to expect. I probably would have given up on it but for the pleasure of listening, especially to Gaiman and McAvoy.

Feel a little weird about it.

This mostly read like short stories, some interconnected. To that, I liked some much more than I liked others. Not feeling an urgent need to continue as of now, but eventually.

I don't know if I should give this 4 or 5 stars but I'm more inclined to 5. Such a treat! I can't wit for Act II.
